Hiroshima Wonders-Before and Now

A wonderful mail arrived at my mailbox yesterday and I can’t wait to share it with you guys. We can see many differences in Japan now. They are growing and the explosion back in 1945 didn’t affect them and they are looking good now. Just take a look at the pictures and you will understand.
Hiroshima and
Nagasaki At 1945
We all know that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed in August 1945 after explosion of a nuclear bomb.
However little we know about progress the people of that land made during the past 62 years.
Here are some photos.

Suicidal Teen-The Story-Part I
Current Mood:
Sickly
Two days ago, my friend’s cousin(erm…let’s give her a fake name. How about Kellie?) committed suicide. You may think it is so stupid of her, yeah…but depression can really lead to that stage and by then, I am afraid it is too late to mend things up.
![]()
Kellie is just a normal 16-year-old like the rest of us. My first impression on her when I met her early this year, she is very cheerful, playful, positive-thinking and kind hearted. She would be the last girl I would believe of killing herself.
As I am an outsider, I am not too sure what is wrong with her until she would take such drastic move. Well, not until my friend, Clara told me today. I was surprised, seriously. So, to prevent the others from galling into the same ‘trap’, I decided to pour it out after asking Clara and Kellie’s family permission to do so.
A letter was enclosed and placed on Kellie’s table after her body was found. Her cause of death? Killed herself with a kitchen knife. Her first suicide attempt was last week by eating pills. She fainted and was sent to the hospital. She was safe but she wasn’t happy. She decided to kill herself again two days later. This time, she jumped from the top floor(20th floor of her boy friend’s condominium) but landed on the bushes. Safe, again. However, the third time which is her last time, she ‘made it through’.
The letter(titled to her parents, written by her a few minutes before the drama began):
Mom and Pop,
I am really sorry you have to find me like this. I do not want to disappoint you. I know how high your expectations are towards me. I know you want me to further my studies till university and become a doctor just like you, but I really do not like to become a doctor. I hate the medicine smell as well as the taste. I want to be an artist, but you would not accept my talent. I still remember and till today, I can feel your slap against my face. I cannot take this pressure anymore, so please forgive me, your bad daughter for betraying you.
You told me not to find and like any guys, but your working hours which is takes you away from me, made me fell left out and alone in this world. I hunger love. I do not know how love feels like and I thirst it. Every time I saw my friends, fetched home by their parents, arm around their shoulders, I grew envy. I do not want big cars, drivers, maids and money. All I wish for is merely you all by my side. Money cannot give me love.

Which is why, when Wayne asked me out on a date, I thought it would be fantastic, because at last, I got to know more about love. Start from then, we were together most of the time. Although Mable told me he is not a good guy, for a taste of love, I ignored her pleas and warning.
Disaster came. He brought me to a bar one day and forced to gulp down a whole bottle of vodka. Out of love, I did as followed and found myself getting giddy.
The next thing I know, I was naked in a hotel room. I cried, I regretted but I did not know who to pour out my sorrows. I scared you will chase me out from home. I began to feel a sense of hopelessness. I do not know who to turn to. I feel stupid. So, after I read about a girl who committed suicide successfully, I decided to do the same. I want to forget this pain.
Sorry…
Yours truly,
XXX
(Kellie)

Happy Mother’s Day (touching story)
Current Mood:
Happy
Well, Mother’s day is just around the corner and I received this mail I got from my cousin. It is a really nice story and I really want to share it to you guys so….,read up!
BEING A MOTHER
After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out
to
dinner and a movie.
She said, ‘I love you, but I know this other woman loves you and would
love
to spend some time with you.’
The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my Mother, who has
been
a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children
had
made it possible to visit her only occasionally.
That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie.
‘What’s wrong, are you well,’ she asked? My mother is the type of
woman
who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign
of
bad news.
‘I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you, ‘I
responded ‘just the two of us.’ She thought about it for a moment, and
then said, ‘I would like that very much.’
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit
nervous.
When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be
nervous
about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had
curled
her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her
last
wedding anniversary.
She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an angel’s. ‘I told my
friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were
impressed,’
she said, as she got into the car. ‘They can’t wait to hear about our
meeting.’
We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and
cozy.
My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady.
After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only read
large
print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mother
sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips.
‘It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,’ she
said
‘Then it’s time that you relax and let me return the favour,’ I
responded.
During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation nothing
extraordinary
but catching up on recent events of each other’s life. We talked so
much
that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said,
‘I’ll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.’ I
agreed.
‘How was your dinner date?’ asked my wife when I got home. ‘Very nice,
much more so than I could have imagined,’ I answered.
A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It
happened
so
suddenly that I didn’t have a chance to do anything for her. Some time
later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from
the
same place Mother and I had dined. An attached note said: ‘I paid this
bill in advance. I wasn’t sure that I could be there; but
nevertheless,
I
paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife. You
will
never know what that night meant for me… I love you, son.’
At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: ‘I love
you.’ and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve Nothing in
life
is more important than our family. Give them the time they deserve,
because these things cannot be put off until ’some other time.’
Somebody said it takes about six weeks to get back to normal after
you’ve
had a baby…. that somebody doesn’t know that once you’re a mother,
‘normal’ is history.
Somebody said you can’t love the second child as much as you love the
first…that somebody doesn’t have two or more children.
Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother is labour and
delivery….that somebody never watched her ‘baby’ get on the bus for
the
first day of kindergarten…or on a plane headed for military ‘boot
camp.’
Somebody said a Mother can stop worrying after her child gets
married….well that somebody doesn’t know that marriage adds a new son
or
daughter-in-law to a Mother’s heartstrings.
Somebody said a Mother’s job is done when her last child leaves
home….that somebody never had grandchildren.
Somebody said your Mother knows you love her, so you don’t need to tell
her….. that somebody isn’t a Mother.
Pass this along to all the ‘Mothers’ in your life and to everyone who
ever
had a mother.
This isn’t just about being a Mother; it’s about appreciating the
people
in
your lives while you have them….no matter who that person is.

Happy Mother’s Day!!!
Mother’s Day come again! How fast time travels…I can still remember vividly how joyful mum seems to be when I and sis gave her our presents which are bought with me, starving for a month.
Ahuh…I am still sick of wondering what should I buy for my mum this year. Since I am a bit broke at the moment, it is hard to decide what I can get for her.
I do not know how to say all those love, love things…not like my good cousin, Alyssa. I kinda’ like “Ok, my love comes from my heart, you know, I know la…”
The truth is Mothers also need to be loved, my message to all the children out there, listen to your mum, do not(I REPEAT DO NOT) send them to Old Folk’s Home. I hate people who send their parents there. Imagine you are sent to that lonely place, no one to talk to or care for you. Remember, a mother would never abandon his/her children, so I cannot find any reason for children to do the opposite.
Last but not least, to all the MOTHERS, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!!!!!!

Big Issues, Eh?(Dewan Rakyat Controversy)
Current Mood:
Playful
Take a look at a possible(I repeat, POSSIBLE) parlimen conversation aka debate in the Dewan Rakyat(House of Representatives). This convo is merely my own assumption, any mistakes and mouth-slips, please do forgive me.
P/S: Erhem…we use English and Malay here where possible to make it more realistic. Malay words are then followed by English translations.

Pandikar Amin: Ok, semua ‘mali-mali’(Ok, all gather here). Faster, faster la…I need to go back home la, ‘dei’
————————————————————————————-
Pandikar Amin: Start Start Start…
————————————————————————————–
Karpal Singh: What la lu? I don’t agree with this rule! What the heck la you all? Mana boleh macam itu( Where can like that?)
Bung Mokhtar: So what, who do you think you are? Banyak cakap pulak tu! (So many things to talk about).
Tutup you punya big fat mouth( Shut your big fat mouth)
Karpal Singh: Eh. I hope the Bigfoot from Kinabatangan(see Statement 1 below) will not interrupt me. That
Bigfoot. Bigfoot, sit down. ^This is a real statement by Karpal Singh)
Bung Mokhtar: Bloody S**T! (In Heart) Stand up if you can(See Statement 2 below). If I am Bigfoot, you are Big
Monkey. (This is also a true statement by Bung Mokhtar)
Karpal Singh: Bigfoor, get out now…
Pandikar Amin: Shhh…keep all your stupid f**king mouth shut! Opppsss….erhem…Senyap, senyap( Keep
Quiet, Keep Quiet.
Statement 1: Bung Mokhtar is the representative of Kinabatangan.
Statement 2: Karpal Singh was attached to a wheelchair.
See, our ‘grand’ politicians meeting. Of all 122 gathered, 88 of them are from the Opposition Party while the others are from the government.

My comment and views? They wasted our precious half an hour debating unnecessary rules, which doesn’t benefit anyone of us. I mean, what for? I could not understand how politicians who are supposed to show good example to the others even use harsh words such as Bigfoot, Big monkey and Politician Frog.
Is that what we should learn from our beloved politician? No wonder nowadays, those harsh words just flew out from teenagers’ mouth. Who can blame them since the one who are supposed to be the role models also use similar low-class words?
My dear politicians,
In the next assembly meeting, please use more courteous words. Remember to carry out your responsibilities. Don’t always fight, fight, fight only. Stop wasting everyone’s time on debates of unnecessary things. Instead, discuss something beneficial such as education, price hike and hosing and development.

P/S: I agree with live telecast. What is there to hide? It is good for youngsters to know the technique to debate as well as learn about the latest headlines, which will be good for their essay writing. I suggest telecasting the whole meeting in all the TV stations at a reasonable time and day, since most of the people are working from Monday to Saturday from 7.00am to 5.00pm. Sunday, at night would be the best solution.

Mahathir VS Badawi VS Najib
Current Mood:
Playful &
Sickly
Problems, problems, problems! The wheel never seems to end. Politic in Malaysia is forever colorful and interesting. Fingers pointing, name calling and criticizing have been the tradition and common flaws in this ‘peaceful’ country.

Mahathir, oh Mahathir…our beloved ex-Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad never stop to chip into the politics. Never mind his age, around 80. He has been serving the nation for 21 years, yet he still remains active in the game of politics.
Five years ago, he said Badawi has been the best choice to become PM(Prime Minister). A year after his retirement, he regretted choosing Badawi. Alright, that seems cool, huh? So, why choose him in the first place? Mahathir is the one who choose Badawi, and yet now go on and fret about his weakness. What is the point?
![]()
Hello? Who is the PM now? Mahathir or Badawi? Mahathir is respected by all, yes, but he is, now just a normal citizen like the rest of us. No offense. Badawi, on the other hand is so much more higher than him, in term of position.
OK, settle down with Badawi. He said Najib ought to be the PM right after he turned his back on Badawi. Blah, Blah, Blah and lately, he announced that he ‘changed his mind’. Najib should not be PM after all. He said Najib is a ‘yes sir, yes sir’ man, but can he changes the fact that Najib is the successor of Badawi? Can he fired Najib and choose his own son, Mukhriz to become the next PM? Hell no!
![]()
Who does he think he is? The Agong or the god or the ruler of the world? Remember, Mahathir, you are already retired. Just enjoy your life. Don’t comment too much, you will only make people hate you. To all Mahathir fans and patriots as well as Mahathir himself. If you all stumble into this article, please forgive me. I am merely expressing my views. My apologies to all if I hurt any feelings.
